A comprehensive Child Care Ministry of Anniston First United Methodist Church

We accept children 6 weeks through 5-year kindergarten to nurture and teach them about God’s love.

The Children’s Place is open from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Learning center activities are prepared in each room.  Through art, blocks, dramatic play, music, nature and manipulatives, they learn responsibility and appreciation while developing coordination.

Group time includes music, songs, finger paint, stories, and games.  Unit themes may be studied such as seasons, weather, pets, family and self.

Chapel is every week for the 3, 4, and 5 year olds.

Indoor and outdoor play areas provide opportunity to exercise and stretch. TCP is blessed with two well-equipped playgrounds.  Toddlers have their own playground with lots of shade, sidewalks for tricycles rides, and age-appropriate equipment.  Older children enjoy a larger playground with swings, slides, and a large soft-surface play area.

Field Trips are scheduled for 4 and 5 year olds.  They go to the museum, the Pumpkin Patch, Oxford Lake, the post office and other fun places.

A Beka curriculum is used to teach 4 and 5 year olds fundamental reading and writing skills.

Meals: TCP provides a hot, nutritionally balanced lunch each day. We make sure to include some kid’s favorites from time to time like PB&J.  We also provide morning and afternoon snacks.  All infant formula and foods are brought from home.  Provisions can be made for children with food allergies.

Nap time: TCP understands that children need rest.  Each child has a nap mat and a cot to sleep on during the nap time.  A stuffed animal from home is always welcome.

Safety:  The center is monitored throughout by video cameras which record 24/7.  You are welcome to come observe your child on camera anytime.  Access to the day care is controlled by an electronic door system.  Only parents and staff have cards to enter the building.

Cost: Tuition is $120 a week.
Registration & some activities require additional fees.
Families do not have to be members of FUMC.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.  I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”  And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them."    Mark 10:13 -15
